In-app purchases and restoring Premium¶
How Premium purchases work across MemoLeap's apps.
Premium is a one-time purchase¶
Each MemoLeap app's Premium unlock is a single purchase made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. There's no subscription and nothing to renew. The purchase is tied to the Apple or Google account you were signed in with at the time, not to an account with MemoLeap, because MemoLeap apps don't have accounts.
Why "restore" exists¶
Because the purchase belongs to your Apple or Google account, a fresh installation of the app doesn't know about it. Reinstalling, or setting the app up on a new phone or tablet, starts you on the free version until you restore. Restore Purchases asks the store whether your account already owns Premium and, if it does, unlocks it again. You're never charged twice for the same purchase.
The app also re-checks with the store each time you open it, so Premium normally follows you without any action once it has been restored once on a device.
What you need for it to work¶
- Be signed in to the same Apple or Google account you used when you originally bought Premium.
- Have a network connection, so the store can be checked.
Prices¶
The price shown on an app's Premium screen is loaded live from the store in your local currency. If it can't be loaded, the app offers a Retry button rather than showing an old price.
