Progress grades

The five grades MemoLeap Spelling gives each word, from strongest to weakest, as shown on the Progress screen.

Grade Colour Meaning
Very Good Light green You answer this word quickly and correctly, consistently.
Good Dark green You answer this word well, with room to get faster or more consistent.
Developing Orange You sometimes get this word right, but it isn't secure yet. Every word starts here at best, however well you answer it the first time.
Weak Red This word needs more practice. Recent answers have been slow, wrong, or both.
Unseen Grey You haven't been asked this word yet, so it has no grade.

Where grades appear

  • Progress lists every word you're practising under a heading for its grade, in the order above, with a coloured dot beside each word. Grades with no words are left out.
  • The Progress Over Time chart (Premium) counts Good and Very Good words together as one line, and Weak and Developing words together as the other.
  • Results lists up to five Developing or Weak words under Words to focus on.
  • Practice reminders (Premium) go to their longest gaps only when every word is Good or Very Good.

Colour is never the only way a grade is shown: the grade name always appears alongside it.
