Settings screen reference¶
What each control on the Settings screen does. Open it by tapping Settings on the Home screen; tap the Home tab to leave it.

| Sound Effects | Switch | On | Plays a tone when you answer a word correctly, and a different tone when you get one wrong. |
| Key press sound | Switch | On | Plays a click on every key you tap on the spelling keyboard, including ⌫. Only audible while Sound Effects is also on. |
| Haptic Feedback | Switch | On | Vibrates briefly on every key press, and for longer when you get a word wrong. Needs a device that can vibrate. |
| Pause after incorrect word | Switch | On | When on, the correct spelling of a word you got wrong stays on screen, with a Continue button, until you tap it. When off, the app moves on by itself after two seconds. Applies whether you typed a wrong letter or ran out of time. |
| Practice reminders | Switch | On | Schedules a notification for when your words are next due for practice. Only works with Premium: on the free version the switch is greyed out with the hint "Premium feature". See How practice reminders are scheduled. |
| Restore Purchases | Button | Checks your Apple or Google account for a previous Premium purchase and unlocks Premium again if one is found. Shows a message with the outcome either way. | |
| Reset All Data | Button | After a confirmation, permanently deletes all your word groups, words, custom recordings, results and progress, and returns built-in word groups to their as-installed state. Settings and your Premium purchase are kept. Cannot be undone. | |
| Support information | Tap-to-copy text | Three lines under the buttons showing your app version and build number, your device's make and model, and your operating system version. Tapping them copies all three to your clipboard and shows "Copied to clipboard" for two seconds. Support information is a docs-only name: the lines have no label on screen. |
Every switch saves as soon as you tap it. There is no Save button.
Note
MemoLeap Spelling has no dark appearance setting. The app always uses a light background, on both iOS and Android, whatever your device's appearance setting.
